Callum, Hollie, Ella & Whisper the dog
The next time I photograph identical baby twins I’m definately going to put little stickers on them so that I can tell them apart when editing. When I say little Hollie and Ella are identical, I mean IDENTICAL! They are gorgeous little girls and it was great fun to see their expressions as the shoot went on. Big brother Callum was always casting a watchful eye over the proceedings, seeing as he is now the protective big brother. Heaven help the first boyfriend that has to deal with Callum
We even managed to grab a shot of little Whisper the puppy, although that was easier said than done
Here are a few shots from the day, and no your eyes are not deceiving you, you can see sunshine in one of the shots!
Mark
It was off to Saltcoats this time to photograph a very lovely family indeed. Meet little Mark and his mum Anne-Marie.
We started off with a few shots in the house to get Mark used to having his photograph taken, then it was off to a nearby quiet beach to get some more natural shots of mum and Mark. I prefer to photograph people when they aren’t really aware they are being photographed as it lends itself to more natural shots. So I plumped myself down on the sandy beach and let mum and Mark go for a walk, all the while snapping away. It was great to watch the interaction and you could see the very strong bond between mother and son
Thanks for your hospitality Anne-Marie, it was great to meet you both
Freya and Zack
Photographing a fellow photographer’s children is an honour but also a touch nerve wracking as well. When I walked in and met Iain for the first time, saw his camera and Lightroom on the laptop I thought ‘Oh no, this guy’s gonna twig I’m winging it big time’
All joking aside, it was honour that Iain and Gillian chose me to photograph little Zack and Freya. Little Zack couldn’t have been more at ease in front of the camera and it showed in the shots we managed to get. Princess Freya was great fun too and seemed to enjoy my cheesey chat, which is always a bonus
Thanks again for a really enjoyable afternoon guys.
Here are my favourites from the day.
Cameron
I love photographing clients that have returned for another portrait session for two reasons, the first being it’s great to see how the children have developed and grown since the last time and secondly it’s great to know that my work has been enjoyed enough for the client to book a second shoot. This time last year little Cameron had just celebrated his second birthday when I photographed him with mum and dad. One year later and he’s still as fast as ever on his feet! It was great to see him running around the garden again having a blast and his smile is as infectious as ever.
After some shots inside and in the garden we headed to a nearby wooded area under Cameron’s careful supervision. He made us do the ‘choo-choo’ all the way there, no slacking was allowed from the passengers
Here are a few of my favourites from the day.
Little Princess Leia
This is now the third time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing little Leia and each time I see her can’t believe how much she’s grown. She is now totally full of beans and an absolute hoot to photograph. It was a struggle to select the photographs as there were so many fantastic expressions and laughs to choose from
This was also the chance to capture a few images of mum’s bump. Little Leia will soon have a little brother/sister to share camera time with and if the new addition is half as much fun as little Leia then it’s going to be a riot next time around
Thanks again to Sarah Jane and Brian. You guys are brilliant
