I’m a gadget freak (saddo) so when I saw the chair mum and dad had got for Adam I just had to include it in the shoot in some way. This seat is the Rolls Royce of seats, if only they made it in a larger size I’d get myself one. To make things a bit different I persuaded mum and dad to take the chair outside for a couple of shots, in amongst the trees. Strange looks aside I think it worked out ok
Here are a few shots.
It seems that Amy is a popular name these days for Paul McGuigan Photography as I photographed two Amys in the space of three days. This Amy was quite a bit younger than the last Amy however, by 17 years
Mum and dad had some very nice outfits sorted for Amy’s shoot which is great for changing the look and feel. Little Amy was an absolute joy to photograph and gave us lots of great little expressions. Mum and dad’s entertainment act was great to watch as well
Here are a few shots.
This shoot was a present gifted to Amy by her aunt, although having to listen to my chat for a couple of hours is more of a burden than a present
To start off we shot inside for a few using just natural window light and then moved onto using my trusty soft box and a reflector. Then we headed outside for a few to finish off the shoot. By this time Amy’s ears were melted from listening to me
Here are my favourites from the shoot.
This wedding was what you could call a ‘Home Tie’. The Strathaven Hotel where Richard and Emily got married is literally 500 yards from my house and was the same hotel where my wife and I were married a few years ago. This was the first time I had photographed in this location and the feeling was a little bit strange to say the least.
The day started in Emily’s local hairdressers where she, her mum and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done. Then it was off to Emily’s house to finish off the preparations. Just before setting off the family had a quick toast using their own Quaichs which was a special moment.
Then it was off to the hotel. As with my wedding the weather wasn’t the best, with rain pretty much the order of the day. Mind you, Richard and Emily were great sports and we managed to get a few outside shots before retiring inside. As always Sheila and the team at the Strathaven Hotel were superb and everything ran like clockwork.
Congratulations guys, I’m sure you will be very happy together
Here are a few shots from the day.
Weather wise this was a kind of roller coaster day. Bright sunshine one minute then torrential rain the next, so we started with some nice and safe shots inside first of all. Kids love to play outside though, running around having fun and generally being kids. So when Paul and Elaine told me about the large nature park about 200 yards from their house I was a happy camper. All I had to do was let little Lewis and Skye enjoy themselves and I ran about capturing them having fun, after the rain had stopped of course
Here are a few from the day.
