Katherine
What a beautiful day it was for a portrait session. The sun was out and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was 1 deg outside mind you but I wasn’t bothering as the light was beautiful inside little Katherine’s house. As it was pretty nippy outside we did most of the shoot indoors, just letting Katherine play away naturally with her mum and dad. Towards the end of the shoot just as Katherine was getting tired we did manage to get outside for a quick shot as the weather was just too good not to.
Many thanks to mum and dad who helped me throughout the shoot and who made me feel so welcome. Katherine was an absolute joy to photograph.
Here are a few shots from the session
Morgan, Jamie, Craig & Reece
Another Strathaven shoot for me, and another great family. This time it was Julie and her four children who were being photographed and you would have thought we had known each other for years due to the fact the children were so comfortable in front of the lens.
Julie’s house is great for photos as there are lots of bright rooms with loads of natural light streaming in so we started off inside and then ventured out to a nearby country road which still had loads of snow. The children were in their element running around in the snow having a laugh and it wasn’t too difficult to capture them simply being themselves
Callum & Connie
This shoot was in Strathaven, which is a home tie for me
The family I was photographing was only 5 minutes away so I managed to squeeze in a couple of extra coffees before setting off.
Little Callum and Connie were the ones being photographed and I must admit, they have the two best sets of hair I think I’ve ever seen
We started off inside for a few shots and then headed off to the local park to finish off, with the two children getting soaked in the stream.
Thanks to Scott, Karen and of course Callum & Connie for an enjoyable shoot.
Nicole
What a day for a photo shoot! The sun was shining and although it was only a couple of degrees above freezing it was perfect conditions for some outdoor shots.
We started off inside as the light for once was really nice. Nicole was fantastic in front of the camera and was relaxed right from the start, which makes my job pretty easy. After some inside shots we then headed off to New Lanark to finish off with some nice natural outdoor shots.
Many thanks to Allan, Sharon and Nicole for making me feel so welcome. Loved the tea
Kai & Marley
I had met Kai and Marley before at another shoot a couple of times and also their mum Eva so it was nice to finally turn the camera on them, although Eva probably disagrees
This shoot was in Lanark and although the weather was pretty horrific there were loads of places in Sunny and Eva’s house where we could go. Kai and Marley were very relaxed right from the start of the shoot and were a joy to photograph. Once the initial 1000 watt cheesey smiles were out of the way I went about trying to capture Kai and Marley’s true personalities on camera and they didn’t disappoint.
Massive thanks to mum and dad, Eva and Sunny who put up with about 2 hours of my chat without me even taking a picture, I loved the day guys
